Level 3 Community Engagement Coach (COLL)

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week. Term time only. Flexible working around weekends, evenings and holidays to be agreed.

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 3 - £27,254 - £33,699 (£21,217.91 - £26,235.50 actual) and SEN Allowance £1,722 pro rata

Start date of role: Spring 2026

Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection.

Our adopted college motto is ‘Believing is achieving’. We constantly strive for excellence, and as part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have a Community Engagement Coach vacancy to join our team of professional and dedicated people.


Key Responsibilities

* Support the work placement team in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required.
* Work with individuals and small groups of students.
* Support students in the workplace and whilst out in the community.


Qualifications and Experience

* An NVQ Level 3 Vocational or Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above (or equivalent).
* Good understanding of how students learn and develop in education.
* Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour.

Important Information

Successful candidates will be subject to all necessary pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification where applicable, medical fitness, identity and right to work.
