Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Data team.
AEC Data offers API's and services that help our customers access, use and share their most valued asset, their data, across their entire ecosystem.
You willhelpdevelopan innovative solution to enablecloud basedcollaboration across all design tools, initially with the Autodesk suite.
The team is largely based in and around the North East of England, working mostly remotely with occasional get togethers.
Responsibilities
1. DeliverAPIs,backendservices,and frontend softwarethrough participating inallphasesof software development lifecycle from ideation and design to development, testing,and maintenance
2. Partner with Product,Design,and software architectstoincrementally deliver features that delight our internal and externalcustomers
3. Ensure code quality, security, reliability, scalabilityandperformancethroughtesting,code reviews, andfollowingbest practices
4. Be an engaged and active member of the team, learn, mentor, be mentored and contribute to the improvement of the team by engaging inrespectfulconversations and decision makings
5. Participate in Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure continuous delivery and improvement
Minimum Qualifications
6. BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
7. 5+ years of progressive, professional experience infull stacksoftware development/engineering
8. Strongproficiencyin programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go)andfront-end development technologies (including HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
9. Experience withwebframeworks and libraries (such as React)
10. Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture, serverless computing, and microservicesas well as containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS
11. Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs
12. Experience in usingAWS services and technologies (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS)with an understanding of security principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
