Durham County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced non-case holding social worker to join our team in the North of the county. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to focus on high-quality, standalone assessments and court work without the responsibility of a full caseload.
About the Role
As a non-case holding social worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting teams across the North by undertaking a variety of specialized pieces of work. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Conducting high-quality, standalone assessments, such as parenting assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments.
* Supporting teams by attending court, writing court reports, and drafting Public Law Outline (PLO) letters.
* Working with cases in PLO and court proceedings to complete specific, in-depth pieces of work as required.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing assessments and court work. You must possess excellent analytical and report-writing skills, a strong understanding of relevant legislation, and the ability to work independently to deadlines.
