We are looking for a flexible motivated individual to join this busy Hospital Unit.
You will be required to work as a member of the Endoscopy Decontamination Team carrying out duties related to the provision of decontamination of flexible endoscopes, adhering to all Accredited policy's and procedures.
You will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours which will include half day working either morning or afternoon and working weekends on a rotated basis .
Previous experience in a Sterile Service is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
The Unit is a modern, well equipped, 7 room, JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit responsible for the decontamination of all types of endoscopes in endoscopy and other areas within the hospital. We have over 30,000 procedures performed annually.
The decontamination unit process up to 100 scopes per day and is open 7 days including the whole Christmas period and all bank holidays throughout the year.
Your main duties will be the correct processing and decontamination of a variety of endoscopes as dictated by local and national guidelines and ensuring traceability and storage.
