Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation and technical excellence across the full software development lifecycle. You’ll work across a modern tech stack, leveraging your expertise in full-stack development, cloud platforms, and distributed systems. Beyond hands-on development, you will play a critical role in guiding best practices, influencing technical decisions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable full-stack applications
* Architect robust, maintainable solutions using modern design patterns and best practices
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features
* Facilitate and contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)
* Mentor and coach engineers, promoting high standards of code quality and craftsmanship
* Drive technical decision-making, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
* Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
* Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment strategies
* Define and champion testing strategies, including unit and integration testing
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise system performance
* Maintain strong version control practices, including code reviews and branching strategies
* Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
* Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong experience building full-stack web applications using TypeScript/React and C#/.NET (or similar technologies)
* Deep understanding of software engineering principles, including modular architecture and design patterns
* Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
* Experience architecting end-to-end systems across frontend, backend, and data layers
* Strong knowledge of distributed systems and complex integrations
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)
* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment patterns
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
* Solid understanding of database design (relational and NoSQL)
* Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to engineering best practices
* Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is a plus
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
