Help children find their voice and reach their potential We're looking for a caring and dedicated Speech & Language SEND Support Assistant to join a specialist classroom in Benwell this September. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Global Developmental Delay , helping them develop communication skills, confidence, and independence in a nurturing learning environment. Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff, you'll play a key role in helping pupils access learning and celebrate every achievement, big or small. Your role will include: Supporting speech, language, and communication development Working closely with pupils with ASC and Global Developmental Delay Delivering targeted communication and learning interventions Encouraging positive social interactions and engagement Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to support pupil progress We're looking for someone who: Holds Speech & Language qualifications or relevant experience Has experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASC Is patient, compassionate, and adaptable Communicates effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families Is passionate about helping every child succeed Why this role?
