Fire Pump Engineer with previous experience in a similar mechanical and/or electrical engineering role, carrying out electrical testing, repairs, and inspections on engines, motors, and pumped systems, with excellent troubleshooting skills, is required for a well-established company.
SALARY: £18.00 - £22.80 per hour (depending on experience) + Company Van + Bonus + Generous Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Travelling to various sites within and around the M25 radius, which will include extensive travel. Overnight stays may be required, between 1-2 nights per week – company van provided.
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 42.5 hours per week, 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 6.5 hours on Fridays.

Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fire Pump Engineer with previous experience of working within a similar mechanical and/or electrical engineering role, carrying out electrical testing, repairs, and inspections on engines, motors, and pumped systems, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
As a Fire Pump Engineer, you will join a growing Service and Maintenance team, traveling to client sites for system inspections, repairs, and emergency responses.
Your role will involve a mix of electrical and mechanical engineering tasks on air compressors, controllers, jockey pumps, electric fire pumps, diesel engines, and diesel fire pumps.
Duties
* Perform electrical testing and inspection of flow monitoring devices such as pressure switches, flow switches, and zone checks/guardians.
* Perform electrical testing and inspection of air compressors and controllers.
* Perform electrical testing and inspection of jockey pumps and controllers.
* Install pump ends (end suctions and split case) and commission them.
* Perform remedial tasks on electric fire pumps similar to existing units.
* Carry out 24-month service on diesel engines.
* Replace engines with new ones, including base modifications.
* Perform remedial tasks on jockey pumps and diesel fire pumps similar to existing units.
Candidate Requirements
* Driving: A full valid driving license.
* Technical Skills: Good understanding of engines, motors, and pumped systems.
* Physical Requirements: Ability to perform inspections and manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
* Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect and report issues promptly and accurately.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and a 'one team' approach.
* This role may require working in challenging or high-pressure situations, particularly during emergencies.
