Residential Care Worker / Senior Residential Care Worker (Liskeard)

Main Purpose
To be part of a skilled team providing direct care and support to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. You will encourage children to have fun, learn, grow and develop in a safe way.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct care and support to children and young people.
* Encourage and facilitate learning, growth, and safe development.
* Work as part of a team and support partnership working with parents and professionals.
* Ensure statutory English language requirements and be subject to enhanced criminal record disclosure checks.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally you are enthusiastic about making positive changes in the lives of children who may have experienced abuse and/or trauma. You should be child‑centred, able to use your own initiative, and work as part of a team. You should have or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (which the Council will fund).
