SEN Teacher – Full-Time (March Start)

About the Role
An established and supportive SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from March. This is a full-time position working with learners aged 6–19, delivering tailored education to pupils with a range of additional needs.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a committed mainstream teacher eager to transition into special education. You’ll work alongside a skilled team of support staff, therapists, and senior leaders who are passionate about providing meaningful, personalised learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Work closely with support staff to implement EHCP targets and personalised strategies.
Use creative teaching methods to support communication, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Monitor and record progress, ensuring accurate reporting and assessments.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working in an SEN setting is highly desirable, but strong mainstream experience with a passion for SEN will also be considered.
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
Adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people with diverse needs.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
