Corporation Tax Manager – £55,000 to £65,000 | Hybrid Working
Reed Practice is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking accountancy firm for the position of Corporation Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified tax professional to join a dynamic team, take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, and benefit from a clear progression path to Senior Manager.
Role Overview
Reporting to a Senior Manager or Director, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of corporation tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base.
Responsibilities
* Manage your own portfolio of clients, overseeing the full compliance process
* Review and sign off Corporation Tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff
* Prepare complex Corporation Tax computations using Alphatax
* Support audit processes and liaise with third-party auditors on tax disclosures
* Advise on technical areas including:
o Capital allowances
o R&D tax relief
o Substantial Shareholdings Exemption
o Controlled Foreign Companies
o Corporate Interest Restriction
o Withholding Tax and Double Taxation Relief
* Build strong internal and external relationships
* Identify opportunities for additional client services
* Manage workflow and mentor junior team members
What We’re Looking For
* CTA and/or ACA (or equivalent) qualified
* Ideally 2+ years post-qualification experience (newly qualified managers also considered)
* Experience in a similar role within a busy, progressive firm
* Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with Alphatax (training available if needed)
* Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff
* Excellent organisational and client service skills
Working Pattern
* Hybrid model:
o During 3-month probation: 5 days in the office
o Post-probation: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
* Flexible start times between 8:00am and 10:00am
