Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. We also welcome those who are willing to learn. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met while fostering their social and emotional growth.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive team environment.
* Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
* Support children in developing social skills through play and interaction.
* Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
* A qualification in childcare or childhood Education or equivalent is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written desirable.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
* A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their best interests.
