Job Summary
At Errington Reay Pottery, we are proud of our heritage making handmade garden planters, supplying them nationwide to UK garden centres.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Yard Operative to join our team. This is a temporary post to cover our busy spring/summer season with the possibility of becoming full-time for the right applicant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing orders for deliveries. You will support other team members with various tasks as required and also be able to work on your own, ensuring the smooth running of yard activities with your colleagues.
Duties
* Loading and unloading deliveries
* Picking and packing orders
* Keeping track of materials and stock levels in the yard
* Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
* Adhering to safety guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment
* Supporting the Yard Manager
* Dealing with retail customers when required
Experience
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
* Previous experience in outdoor work, of similar nature.
* Able to follow instructions.
* Good communication skills.
* Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and troubleshooting equipment.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.
* A strong work ethic with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
