Job Description

NECSWS has an excellent opportunity for a Presales professional, specifically with knowledge of the Public Safety sector covering Police, Fire, Ambulance, or Transport.

Key requirements include experience in product demonstrations and tender responses.


Main responsibilities:

1. Assist the sales team with bid responses, collaborating with product, development, and portfolio teams.
2. Configure, build, and demonstrate NEC Safety products.
3. Design product configurations for demonstrations based on customer scenarios.
4. Demonstrate NEC Safety portfolio functionalities to support new business and account management.
5. Serve as a product subject matter expert during the sales process.
6. Understand related Safety products such as control rooms, policing, evidence management, biometrics, and managed services.
7. Support roles for junior and senior pre-sales, with senior roles handling major bids over £20m.


Qualifications:

1. Experience in presales or presentation skills, gained in the private sector with public sector clients or within public organizations.
2. Knowledge of the Safety business arena.
3. Experience with Control Rooms, Operational Policing, Evidence Management/Data Analytics, or Managed Services.


Preferred skills:

1. Knowledge of the Public Safety market.
2. Understanding of customer needs in the Public Safety domain.
3. Government security clearance.
4. Understanding of government and safety sector drivers.
5. Competence in engaging with high-level managers and officers.
6. Focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
7. Ability to deliver complex demonstrations under tight deadlines.
8. Support for proposal writing and post-demo follow-up.
9. Act as an ambassador for NEC internally and externally.


Personal Skills:

1. Self-reliant with team collaboration skills.
2. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
3. Strong written skills, especially for bid responses.
4. Relationship-building abilities.
5. Effective time management.
6. Willingness to travel and hold a valid UK/EC driving license.
