About the Role
The Occupational Therapy Service at Hawkes Bay Hospital has an opening for Occupational Therapist within our Medical Inpatient Team. Working in partnership with whaiora, whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will provide high quality, person-centred inpatient care. Problem solving and bringing creative solutions to complex discharge planning will keep you actively learning and engaged within the acute medical team. You will support and guide rotational Occupational Therapists and students and be actively involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the acute medical and inpatient Allied Health team.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will join a diverse team of acute and subacute Occupational Therapists, and be part of the supportive Allied Health inpatient team. We value Continued Professional Development, mentoring, supervision and on-going training. You will have access to regular in-service training, special interest working groups, and learning opportunities to develop your clinical, cultural, quality improvement, and leadership skills. The Occupational Therapy Professional Lead will also support your growth and promotes the Occupational Therapy service throughout our hospital.

About you
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who:
* Has a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
* Is New Zealand Registered with current annual practising certificate (APC) or ability to gain in a timely way
* Minimum of three-years experience
