Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence.
HOURS WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY/FRIDAY & SATURDAY 9AM TO 5PM
SUNDAY 9AM TO 3.30PM
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of café staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
* Manage team schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and motivate staff to achieve performance targets
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
* Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team skills
* Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
* Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by demonstrating excellent hospitality and service standards.
Qualifications
* Proven supervising experience within a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting
* Previous experience in team management or leadership roles in the food service industry
* Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Familiarity with hospitality standards across hotel or restaurant environments is desirable
* Barista experience is advantageous but not essential
* Exceptional communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
