An opportunity has arisen to apply for the position of principal clinical scientist within the nuclear medicine physics section of the Medical Physics Department. NHS Tayside is seeking an individual who will bring excellent teamworking skills and significant experience in the nuclear medicine physics environment to the Medical Physics team. The post is full time.
The nuclear medicine physics section provides expert support to NHS Tayside’s nuclear medicine department at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. This modern nuclear medicine department, built in 2012, has 3 gamma cameras and a PET scanner providing a wide range of diagnostic tests. The department also manages both in-patient and out-patient radioiodine therapies.
You will be expected to provide medical physics expert support to the department, as well as assist in the day to day operations of the clinical service and work to continuously improve the quality of the department’s service provision in an evidence based manner. We have close links with the University of Dundee, and you will be expected to support and enhance our teaching commitments.
The successful candidate will have significant relevant experience. The post is based in the nuclear medicine department at Ninewells Hospital.
Dundee is an attractive city that offers a high standard of living. Situated by the sea, it is within easy reach of scenic walking and climbing areas, and winter ski resorts. There are good road, rail and air links with the rest of the UK.
