We are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our NPI team. Our products are contributing towards the development of quantum computing, the study of dark matter and the creation of new materials. The opportunity
In this role you will be technically responsible for ensuring that projects meet internal and external customer requirements. You will complete concept designs through to production in conjunction with the wider technology team, as well as providing technical support for the manufacture, installation and support of our systems. As a Principal you will lead on the technical aspects of the development of products and lead on design improvements, including using various engineering tools to make informed design decisions.
About you
It is likely that you will have a degree or PhD in a relevant engineering or science discipline, with extensive relevant work experience, including working with complex systems/systems configuration. Your ability to lead on large projects, knowledge of FMEA and risk analysis is essential. You will also be familiar with project management techniques, have an excellent understanding of mechanical design principals and able to coach and mentor other members of the team.
