TML Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with one of our longest-standing clients, a fast-growing, UK-wide, multi-disciplinary property practice, which is searching for a Commercial Valuation Partner to support the growth of their South East / M4 Corridor valuation department.
What will you be doing in this role?
As the lead valuer in this region, you will report directly to the National Head. Your responsibilities will include conducting a variety of commercial valuations across the South East, focusing mainly on the M4 Corridor up to Oxford. You will work with different asset classes, primarily offices, retail, and industrial buildings/units, collaborating with banks, private and corporate clients, and professional contacts.
Approximately 80% of your work will involve commercial valuations, with the remaining 20% focusing on residential development. Your main goal will be to grow the business unit through fee earning and business development. While there will be some leadership responsibilities, mainly mentoring, this role is ideal for someone who prefers to focus on fee earning.
This team consists of around 3 fee earners, and you will be the most senior member.
Further responsibilities include:
* Growing and enhancing the valuation services offered in the region.
* Developing, alongside the National Head, the regional strategy.
* Providing first-class valuation services to multiple clients.
* Engaging in fee earning and creating new business opportunities.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members when needed.
* Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Setting a positive example and promoting best practices related to audit and compliance.
* Exploiting cross-sell opportunities within the service line and beyond, actively participating in client development activities.
What do you need to be successful?
* Understanding of commercial property valuation, ideally for loan security and balance sheet purposes.
* Proven experience in undertaking commercial property valuations and appraisals, including using KEL, Argus, or similar software.
* A track record of developing new business.
* MRICS & RRV qualifications.
* Ideally, experience in the Berkshire / M4 corridor region, but London markets are also acceptable.
