The Role
The school is looking for a dedicated Finance Officer to manage the day-to-day financial activities of the school. You will be a key member of the administrative team, ensuring financial compliance and providing support to the wider school community. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the school's finances, including processing invoices, handling payments, and reconciling bank statements.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports for the senior leadership team and governors.
* Assisting with budget management and financial forecasting to ensure the school's long-term stability.
* Handling all financial transactions related to school trips, events, and a variety of school activities.
* Liaising with suppliers, parents, and staff regarding financial queries and transactions.
The ideal candidate will have experience using school-specific financial software such as SIMS FMS, IRIS Financials, Sage for Education, or Access Education Finance.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Proven experience working in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a school or public sector environment.
* Strong knowledge of financial software and systems, and an excellent understanding of accounting principles.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
