Job Title: Solar Construction Project Manager – 24 Month Fixed Term Contract
We have an exciting opportunity for a Solar Construction Project Manager to join our Award-Winning Property Team. This fixed-term role lasts for approximately 2 years and involves overseeing the successful delivery of the annual M&B Solar PV rollout across the UK.
The key objectives of this programme are to deliver safely, within budget, to the specified quality and capacity, and on schedule.
This is a mobile role, known internally as a Solar Development Manager, requiring travel across our estate nationwide, including occasional visits to our Head Office in Birmingham City Centre.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory
* Secure all legal and statutory permissions before development work
* Manage health, safety, and welfare for all involved in Solar installations
Management and Delivery
* Collaborate with external consultants and contractors on the Solar capital expenditure budget
* Assess and advise on ancillary works (roof structures, scaffolding, etc.)
* Evaluate installation data weekly
* Lead external teams to adhere to company processes
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and defect-free
* Oversee project handover and closeout
* Coordinate Solar projects with other capital initiatives
* Monitor and manage solar energy output and consumption data
* Identify sites for Solar investment supporting sustainability goals
Cost Management
* Manage the annual Solar Capital Budget
* Forecast and control costs, obtaining approvals for variances
Requirements
* Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of construction processes and procedures
* Excellent communication skills for nationwide project delivery
Qualifications
Professionally qualified in a relevant field is desirable.
