Our Lady of the Magnificat Catholic MAC, seeks a Senior Teacher and SENDCo for a permanent, part-time role at WMJobs.

Salary: Upper pay scale, £37,937.60 - £40,838.40 per annum plus SEN1 Allowance £2,230
Hours: Four days a week (0.8) for Management time and two days (0.4) as Reception Class Teacher; two days (0.8) as Management time and two days (0.8) as Reception Class Teacher
The successful candidate will be subject to all pre-employment checks necessary to meet safer recruitment requirements, including a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and social media check. The MAC reserves the right to require you to work at such other place or places as it may reasonably require from time to time subject to the provision of reasonable notice.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Catholic life and Mission
* Draw on the person, life, and teachings of Jesus Christ to create a shared vision and strategic plan, which inspires and motivates pupils, staff, and all members of the community
* Strategic Development of SEN Policy and Provision: have a strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEN or a disability across the school; monitor and review the quality of provision; contribute to school self-evaluation, particularly with respect to SEN provision; ensure the SEN Policy is implemented into practice and its objectives are reflected in the School Improvement Plan (SIP); maintain up-to-date knowledge of national and local initiatives; evaluate funding use and propose changes for effectiveness
* Operation of the SEN Policy and Co-ordination of Provision: maintain an accurate SEND Register and Provision Map; provide guidance on teaching pupils with SEN; advise on the graduated approach to SEN support; advise on budget and resources, including staff deployment; be aware of Warwickshire Local Offer; work with external agencies; be a key point of contact for external agencies, especially the local authority; analyse assessment data for pupils with SEN
* Support for Pupils with SEN or a Disability: ensure early identification; co-ordinate and monitor provision; secure relevant services; review EHCPs with parents and pupils; communicate with parents; support smooth transitions when transferring to another school; promote inclusion
* Leadership and Management: work with the Principal and Governors to meet Equality Act 2010 requirements; contribute to SIP and school policies; identify and meet staff training needs; lead INSET; lead and manage Teaching Assistants; act as designated teacher for looked-after children (LAC)
* Safeguarding: be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL); safeguard and promote welfare of all children in line with school policies

* Support the Catholic ethos of the Multi Academy Company and promote its vision and professionalism
* Adhere to MAC policies and procedures
* Maintain personal and professional development and participate in relevant training
* Carry out other duties as determined within the scope of the post; duties outside of the post require agreement of the post holder
* The MAC reserves the right to require you to work at other locations with reasonable notice
