We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our insurance department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of policies. You will lead a team of insurance professionals, drive process improvements, and contribute to the company's success. The role is primarily based in Ipswich, with regular trips to the London office.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting professional development, career growth, and decision-making.
2. Delegating tasks aligned with team skills and interests.
3. Having ultimate responsibility for the team supporting London Wholesale Prop & Casualty and A&H lines of business.
4. Setting goals and being accountable for team success.
5. Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and addressing concerns.
6. Fostering a positive team environment.
7. Overseeing operations across all platforms and systems.
8. Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
9. Monitoring KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
10. Analyzing data to inform decisions.
11. Leveraging technology and automation to enhance productivity.
12. Ensuring high client satisfaction through effective service.
13. Building relationships with stakeholders, especially within Underwriting.
14. Providing management reports as needed.
15. Ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and standards.
16. Conducting audits and reviews to mitigate risks.
17. Staying informed of industry trends and regulatory changes.
The candidate will report to the Head of Middle Office, UK.
Skills and abilities required:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced skills), Word, PowerPoint, Project.
* Experience with Power BI for data analysis.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
