Infrastructure Engineer – Broad Tech remit with Projects – Leeds – REF 619
We are currently looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in the Leeds office who will ensure the smooth running of our server and storage infrastructure. You will work within the 3rd line support team having primary responsibility for the support, administration and maintenance of server and storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Actively contribute to the design and implementation of all Server & Storage infrastructure, owning the documentation for these systems.
2. Plan upgrades, updates and migrations of Server & Storage infrastructure where necessary.
3. Ensure system configuration and data is backed up as per the backup policy.
4. Ensure adherence to appropriate ITIL and Prince2 processes and ISO operating procedures.
Key knowledge, skills and experience required:
1. Implementing and administering server operating system including Microsoft Windows 2008 / 2012.
2. Experience of working in an ITIL environment and of managing successful projects.
3. Implementing and administering VMware environments (vSphere 5.x, vCentre).
4. Experience of enterprise monitoring solutions.
5. Implementing and administering HP servers / blades and Hitachi (HUS) storage hardware or similar experience in other vendors technology.
