Transport Planner - Container Haulage
Location: Felixstowe
Salary: Up to £45,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of container movements from Felixstowe and London Gateway, ensuring service levels, revenue targets and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
* Planning daily container movements from Felixstowe and London Gateway
* Managing allocated trucks and driver resources
* Ensuring revenue targets and service levels are met
* Communicating effectively with drivers and maintaining strong working relationships
* Managing same-day operational issues and resolving problems efficiently
* Booking and managing VBS slots accurately
* Maintaining high standards of organisation and compliance
Experience Required
* Previous experience in transport planning within container haulage
* Strong understanding of port operations and VBS systems
* Knowledge of haulage and container logistics
* Experience using Truckcom (preferred)
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
