Role Description
This is a part time on-site role for a Myofunctional Therapist based in the London area, United Kingdom. The Myofunctional Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and addressing orofacial myofunctional disorders, designing individualized therapy plans, and monitoring patients’ progress. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and providing patient education on proper orofacial muscle function will also be key aspects of this role. The therapist will work closely with patients of all ages, providing support for improving oral posture, breathing, swallowing, and related functions.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Myofunctional Therapy, oral health assessment, and therapy techniques
* Strong understanding of orofacial anatomy and disorders, oral airway functions, and their impact on overall health
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
* Ability to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
* Proficiency in data collection, patient record documentation, and assessment tools
* Experience working within a healthcare or dental setting is highly advantageous
* Certification or training as a Myofunctional Therapist or similar qualification
* Commitment to a holistic, patient-centered approach to care
