The company already works with major international clients across the US, Europe, and EMEA and is establishing a new engineering hub in Belfast. The engineering and data function is scaling, with a strong leadership team and a growing AI / data research capability.
Senior Data Scientist - AI / Profit Intelligence Platform (FDI Scale-Up)
Senior Data Scientist role for someone who enjoys a mix of hands‑on building and research‑driven problem solving.
You won't just be building dashboards - you'll be helping shape how the product understands and predicts profitability using real-world, often messy financial data.
Responsibilities
* Building financial and data models to understand profit drivers
* Working with complex, messy datasets (finance, sales, operational data)
* Using Python to clean, structure, and model data
* Applying AI / LLMs to generate deeper commercial insights
* Experimenting with new modelling approaches and analytical methods
* Helping define how the product evolves from a data and AI perspective
* Turning real-world business data into usable, scalable intelligence
What they're looking for
* Strong Python skills (daily, hands‑on use)
* Experience working with real‑world, messy datasets
* Strong commercial understanding (revenue, cost, margin, profitability)
* Comfortable moving between data exploration, modelling, and production thinking
* Exposure to AI / LLMs (or strong interest in this space)
* Understanding of data pipelines / APIs / how systems connect
* Cloud experience (nice to have, not essential)
