Repairs Schedulers required to lead a team of 5-6 trades people (roofers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers) and act as their main point of contact.Our ideal person will be a trades person who has the desire and skills to move into an office-based role.The purpose of the role is to ensure efficiencies by communicating with trades on-site to offer guidance, ensure jobs are run to time and reduce the need for follow-on works.Communication, organisation and problem-solving are some of the key skills required for this role.Main Responsibilities: * Running daily schedules for team of 5-6 trade Operatives (electricians, plumbers, etc) * Continually liaising with trade Operatives, tenants and clients (local authority or housing association) by phone, email and live chat regarding updates on repairs * Arranging parts or materials for click/collect where not available from usual suppliers * Logging multiple engineer work requests onto the in-house job management system and tracking each request through to completionEssential Skills / Experience for this role: * Excellent communication and listening skills * Ability to multi-task to manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment * Ex-trades person wanting to move into an office role using their site knowledge.Company Benefits: * Career development opportunities * Employee Assistance – access to a range of support and advice by telephone and a via a mobile phone app * Free Personal Trainer group sessions after work every Thursday * Hamper at ChristmasThe Details: * Full-time office-based position (no remote working) * Hours of work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday * On a rota basis there is a requirement to work until 6pm once a month and 1 Saturday in 4 - both paid in addition to the salary
