Store Manager – White Stuff
We are looking for an energetic and results‑driven Store Manager to lead our shop at White Stuff. This is a 37.5‑hour contract that requires weekend availability.

We sell women’s and men’s clothing as well as beautiful accessories and homeware. Our original in‑house prints, intricate details and considered design touches set us apart.

Primary Objective Of The Job
The Shop Manager holds overall responsibility for the shop, taking ownership and initiative to drive performance through managing KPIs. You will ensure customers have the best possible shopping experience, develop the team and maintain White Stuff’s presence in the local community.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll report to your Area Manager and sit within our Retail team.
Customer Experience
* Train, drive, and coach the team to deliver an amazing in‑store experience aligned with our pillars (Be Friendly, Be Valuable, Be Inspiring) across the customer journey.
* Ensure the team meets customer needs through multichannel shopping and endless‑aisle orders.
* Engage customers with our brand via email newsletters, purchase tagging, and e‑receipts.
Product Presentation and Visual Standards
* Evaluate floor layout and sales trends regularly, taking action to align the shop floor with commercial opportunity.
* Ensure the team understands our products and can explain features to support styling and purchase decisions.
* Maintain excellent product and shop standards at all times.
* Implement brand VM standards and layouts, making placement decisions that best serve shop, market, and customer.
* Create a commercial environment where the team consistently evaluates floor layout, KPIs and takes appropriate action.
* Evaluate product package and feed back to the Area Manager any commercial opportunities.
* Optimise stock levels for sales opportunities in liaison with Merchandising.
Commercial Management
* Identify commercial opportunities and maximise sales, coaching the team to implement these opportunities.
* Ensure the shop operates within its budget.
* Lead the coordination of promotions, incentives, and key trading weeks.
People Management and Development
* Use L&D and operational tools to develop team knowledge and skillset.
* Create a positive team atmosphere focused on results.
* Lead team briefs and define objectives to achieve targets.
* Plan staff effectively to place the right people at the right times.
* Set team objectives and ensure alignment toward goals.
* Recruit, retain and develop high‑calibre team members.
* Engage with succession planning to grow talent.
* Seek local community opportunities that benefit the shop.
* Provide regular praise and feedback to support engagement and development.
* Lead annual and interim reviews, monitoring objectives throughout the year.
Shop Operations
* Lead accurate delivery and replenishment processes.
* Organise stocktake and ensure accurate reconciliation.
* Manage ship‑from‑store and Click & Collect processes.
* Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead Health & Safety processes and ensure compliance.
* Develop relationships with other teams and business areas.
Doing Good Stuff
* Live our values and embed them in the shop.
* Show awareness of our charity partner and support relevant events.
* Explain ethical sourcing and environmental impact to customers and team.
