Responsibilities
* Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures
* Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
* Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy
* Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
* Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines
* Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures
* Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints
* Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment
* Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit
* Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area
* Triage and Pre-Assess Patients against specific criteria to ensure suitable for the procedure
Requirements / Qualifications
* Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse or ODP and have the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care?
* Sulis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, has an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or ODP to join our Endoscopy Team
* This role requires NMC or HCPC registration and a demonstrable record of CPD with knowledge and current experience of professional practice within Endoscopy department
* This role requires DBS Clearance
Working pattern
Full-Time - Mon - Sun - 37.5 hours - Shift pattern vary from the following: 08.00 -16.00; 10.00-18.00; 08.00-18.00
