Reference: 6a0795f1 I am looking to recruit a Support Worker able to commence on a date to be agreed with the successful applicant, subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check you will work closely with me in person and online. I live at home with my family and a loveable Labradoodle. I have a keen interest in film making, directing, cinematography and watching movies. My favourite films are directed by Stanley Kubrick. I like Greek mythology, science fiction, reading and anything DUNE related. It would be good if you have similar interests as well as being caring, friendly, patient, able to understand and deliver the needs required. Able to support me with accessing the community, social activities and shopping whilst promoting my independence. Working hours are flexible, includes daytime, weekends, and evenings, either online or in person. Total of 10-20 hours available each month. To include one or two longer sessions each period for activities, to be discussed at interview. As a Personal Care Assistant your job will be to provide: - Community Access and Shopping. - Cinema Visits and Walking. Essential Criteria - Must have up to date COVID vaccinations. - Must have a clean driving licence and use of your own vehicle. Business insurance will be reimbursed with receipt. - Must not a non-smoker. Desirable Criteria - Previous experience as a support worker. - Knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedure. - Experience/knowledge/understanding of neurodivergence's and mental health preferred. You must legally be able to work in the UK. Proof of ID, two references and a full DBS check will be required, before anyone is hired. There will be a trial period of 12 weeks. The position is paid at £11.30 per hour increasing to £11.44 on 1st April 2024. Wages will be paid through the PAYE scheme. This is not a cash position.
