Your new role As an Investigating Officer, you will work within a specialist teams - Maladministration,You will: Investigate complaints and systemic issues impartially and in line with legislation Analyse large volumes of sensitive information and prepare detailed reports Communicate effectively with service users, public bodies, and stakeholders Manage a complex caseload, meeting deadlines and performance targets Make evidence-based recommendations to improve public services This is a challenging and rewarding role where your work will directly influence service standards and outcomes for the public. What you'll need to succeed Educated to degree level (or equivalent) AND a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in collecting and analysing information to arrive at evidence based, written conclusions OR A minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience in collecting and analysing information to arrive at evidence based, written Strong analytical skills and the ability to use sound and balanced judgement to support well-reasoned and appropriate decisions Identifying and interpreting relevant legislation, codes and guidance, regulation or procedural requirements Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present and analyse evidence, and effectively communicate findings through letters and reports.
