As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Develop and deliver creative, adaptive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH difficulties. Establish a calm, secure, and encouraging classroom setting that supports both emotional and academic development. Collaborate effectively with SENCOs, support staff, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored learning and behaviour interventions. Nurture strong, trusting relationships with pupils to inspire engagement, self-esteem, and resilience. Assess and track individual progress, refining teaching methods to ensure continual improvement. To be an SEMH Teacher, you’ll require: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred). Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
