Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: M30, Salford, Greater Manchester

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (one day per week until 4:00 PM)
Salary: £13.69 - £15.83 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)
Reeson Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Salford (M30). This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. The school is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide one-to-one support for a 14/15-year-old pupil with ASD and anxiety. The role involves both in-school support and travel to an off-site provision where the pupil participates in animal-based learning and activities, so a driving licence and access to a car is essential .

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
1. Work one-to-one as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a 14/15-year-old pupil with ASD and anxiety .
2. Provide structured and consistent support to help the pupil engage with learning.
3. Accompany the pupil to an off-site provision where they will take part in animal-based activities .
4. Support emotional regulation, engagement, and communication strategies.
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
6. Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment .
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
7. Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with ASD and anxiety .
8. A driving licence and access to a car (essential for travel to off-site provision).
9. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting SEN pupils .
10. The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
11. Commitment to a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
