Job Requirements Bioveterinary Scientist, Blood Sciences £30,000 - £34,000 Permanent, Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Saturday rota, working shifts between 5am - 5pm. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic laboratory services, applying your specialist knowledge and technical skills to ensure the accurate and timely analysis of animal samples. If you are committed to precision, quality, and making a real difference in veterinary science, we would love to hear from you. - Analyse blood samples using advanced laboratory instruments including: ADVIA 2120i, Beckman AU5800, Immulite 2000 XPi, Horriba Yumizen G800, Clinitek Novus/Aimstrip, and CellaVision DM9600. - Carry out routine analyser setup, calibration, and maintenance. - Perform blood smear morphology assessments both digitally (CellaVision) and on glass slides. - Conduct urinalysis, including urine sediment examination. - Perform urolith analysis. - Carry out serology testing using lateral flow test (LFT) devices and immunoassays. - Read, understand, and adhere to all relevant SOP, H&S and QA guidelines. - Maintain strict compliance with quality control standards to ensure accurate and reliable results. - Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of reagents and consumables.
