Role Overview
As a Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Handling invoices, payments, and expense transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
* Assisting in the creation of financial statements and regular reports.
* Updating and maintaining financial records in line with internal procedures.
* Supporting both month-end and year-end financial activities.
* Reconciling accounts and promptly addressing any variances.
* Working closely with colleagues to help maintain effective financial workflows.
* Managing internal and external finance-related enquiries professionally.
* Ensuring adherence to all relevant financial policies, regulations, and standards.
About You
To thrive in this position, you should bring:
* Qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Strong numerical ability and analytical thinking.
* Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* A collaborative approach to work and strong team skills.
* Friendly personality
* Experience with Sage X3 is desirable but not essential.
