Subsea Technician
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £38k + offshore uplift
Contract: Full-time/Permanent
Are you a controls technician ready to step into a new role? Are you keen to work on systems that drive real-world offshore operations? Then this sounds like a perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and test electrical and hydraulic subsea equipment
* Diagnose and repair faults on subsea and topside systems
* Carry out electrical testing (IR, continuity, HV/LV, TDR, etc.)
* Perform hydraulic testing, flushing, and pressure testing
* Support offshore activities, including maintenance and testing scopes
* Conduct inspections, audits, and follow-up actions
* Produce clear technical reports and documentation
* Work in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
* Collaborate with engineers and other technicians
What We’re Looking For
* Practical, hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems
* Experience with subsea equipment (preferred)
* Ability to follow procedures and read engineering documentation
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Apprenticeship (preferred)
* Offshore experience (desirable)
Certifications (Preferred)
* BOSIET
* Offshore medical
