Our client is a leading energy business, with multiple sites throughout the UK, recovering valuable resources to provide power to 100,000 homes in the local area.
Due to growth plans at the site, they are looking for a number of mechanical maintenance technician to join their engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team of 14 engineers on site
Carry out all planned & unplanned maintenance, inspection & fault finding for all industrial mechanical systems, equipment and assets on site
Working on boiler & steam systems, CHP, pipework, feed conveyors, industrial plant equipment, bearings shafts, drives, pumps, valves
Mechanical workshop activities - make parts, machining, welding, fabrication, fitting, brazing
Contribute towards the planning of mechanical stripdowns & overhauls for plant shutdowns
Liaise daily with specialist contractors on site, create RAMS, organise & manage contractors
Maintain stock levels for spares, update PPM's, method statements and maintain CMMS
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must have at least 5 years experience working in a medium to large industrial facility
Working knowledge of CMMS, contractor management, creating RAMS
Transferable industries - recycling, power generation, energy, utilities, industrial manufacturing
Strong mechanical fault finding, overhauls, stripdowns and repairs experience
NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Ideally have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
Happy with working on a call-out-rota, do overtime and longer hours during shutdown periods
Must have dealt with large mechanical equipment
Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining experience
