Reporting to the Technology and Security Lifecycle Management (TSLM) Programme Manager, the IT Project Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for an IT professional wanting to move into a project environment.
The successful candidate will work within the team to ensure the successful delivery of the TSLM projects and where required the wider IT project deliverables
In this role you will:
1. Support Project Managers in delivery and rolling out TSLM technology to all 9 European Villages
2. Own and deliver small TSLM projects, with the support and guidance of the TSLM team
3. Coordinate project tasks with the Value Retail IT team, local Village business teams and supplier teams
4. Where required compile and maintain project governance documentation including Steering Group packs, TDA presentations, implementation plans, project highlight reports and project reviews
5. Facilitate appropriate technology training for business teams and go-live support
6. Assist with business testing of initiatives ensuring where appropriate business sign off is attained prior to go-live.
7. Support Project Managers and business teams in business change activities
Role requirements
8. Prior experience of working in a fast moving and dynamic IT/retail environment
9. Confidence to challenge and discuss project progress/next steps where appropriate, ensuring their views and experience are taken into consideration
10. Ability to coordinate, manage and deliver all types of activity including meetings, testing, and training
11. A good knowledge of IT and M365 applications is essential
12. Ability to rapidly understand business processes and relate them to project activity and change
13. Knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and user devices including how services are delivered from cloud computing
14. Experience of working in server room environments, carrying out work in a risk averse and high quality standard
