Pay: £13.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 | Day shifts on a rolling rota (includes weekends & bank holidays)

About Glyncornel
Glyncornel Nursing Home is a well-established 16-bed service with over 30 years of trusted care. Set in a peaceful residential area of Rhondda Cynon Taff, we provide high-quality nursing care for older adults, many living with dementia or complex health needs. We're proud of our strong team ethos and supportive environment where both staff and residents feel valued.
Your Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll lead by example supporting residents with their daily needs while guiding and mentoring the care team to deliver safe, dignified, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supporting a team of Care Assistants during your shift
* Delivering hands-on personal care with dignity and respect
* Administering or supporting medication (following policy and training)
* Monitoring residents' wellbeing and maintaining accurate care plans
* Communicating with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
* Helping create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment
* Mentoring new and junior staff to build confidence and skills
What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year's experience in a senior or team-leading role (essential)
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred) or willingness to complete
Confident supporting older adults and those with dementia
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Compassionate, reliable, and committed to teamwork
