Team Manager
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for a Team Manager to lead a team of delivery staff and support staff to ensure successful delivery of a contract in order to maximise the achievement of outcomes and deliver the performance expectations of prime contractors and commissioners. This includes the development of strong partnerships with other service providers in a defined geography.
Please note, this role involves working in the community across Wigan and Bury, so you’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own car.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Operations/Service Manager to deliver strong contract performance for commissioners and prime contractors.
2. Lead, coach and motivate a delivery team to achieve employment and sustainment targets.
3. Maximise positive job and learning outcomes for customers.
4. Build and maintain effective relationships with employers and local partners.
5. Ensure high‑quality, compliant and customer‑focused service delivery.
6. Manage data integrity, audit requirements and client spend responsibly.
7. Drive continuous improvement across systems, provision and performance.

Skills Required:
15. Proven experience of leading and managing staff.
16. Strong knowledge of employability, skills and labour market trends.
17. Ability to work effectively with employers, partners and commissioners.
18. Confident use of IT systems and management information.
19. Understanding of reasonable adjustments, equality and employment law.
20. Ability to analyse performance data and financial information.
21. Strong written and verbal reporting skills.
22. Experience working with DWP, health or local authority services (desirable).
