An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful manufacturing company, located at the Flixborough Industrial Estate. Our client is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations, drive excellence, and contribute to the production of high-quality, eco-friendly products.

Position Overview:
Reports to: Operations Manager
Responsible for: Shift Managers and their respective teams
Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the production department and all manufacturing operations
*
Review, assess, and implement the production schedule as provided by Senior Management to ensure efficient production
*
Lead Shift Managers in alignment with company vision, policies, and procedures
*
Ensure team compliance with all relevant company policies and regulations
*
Collaborate closely with supervisors, quality, health and safety, engineering, and logistics to meet production targets
*
Work with Health & Safety and Training teams to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Working Procedures, and best practices for production operations
*
Develop a thorough understanding of the plant and processes to support informed decision-making
*
Address departmental issues, escalating to Senior Management when necessary
*
Ensure production lines operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime
*
Manage resources to maximize productivity and meet customer requirements within expected timeframes
*
Anticipate future production demands and drive readiness to meet these needs
*
Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure the timely availability of materials
*
Continuously strive for operational excellence and improvement
*
Oversee key people processes, including performance reviews, investigations, disciplinaries, and other communications
*
Effectively manage team workloads and responsibilities
*
Analyze and use production data to identify opportunities for improvement
*
Take full ownership of the site’s Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and labour variance management
Qualifications & Skills:

Strong leadership and management experience within a manufacturing environment
*
Proven ability to manage and improve production processes
*
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
*
Ability to effectively lead teams and communicate across all levels of the organization
*
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and production best practices
*
Experience in managing resources and driving productivity improvements
*
Strong IT skills with the ability to analyze and utilize production data

Salary range: £45,000 - £50,000
