Location: Brighton - to start SeptemberSalary: £120 per dayJob Type: Full-timeHours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive team within a KS1 & KS2 Alternative Provision setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference to their education and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
* Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Encourage and motivate students to participate in learning activities
* Provide targeted support to pupils, including those displaying challenging behaviour
* Help maintain a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
* Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress
* Take part in training and continuous professional development opportunities
Requirements
* GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
* Strong general education across a range of subjects
* Understanding of the national curriculum and learning programmes
* Awareness of safeguarding, behaviour management, and relevant school policies
* A positive, proactive, and resilient approach to working with young people
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
