I am working with a specialist SEND Secondary school located in Swindon looking for a Teacher to join the team. There is an innovative approach to learning which encompasses high aspirations, and ambitious outcomes for students. The supportive environment helps students and teachers to feel valued members of the community.There is also a new curriculum which helps students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to become independent and an emphasis on practical skill as well as work related learning and a careers programme.
This role is for a Teacher looking to start in September on a permanent basis. There are many opportunities for functional learning which helps facilitate the development of effective communication as well as skills and strategies to help pupils emotionally regulate themselves. As well as this, there are regular trips offside which help pupils to gain interest in the world outside education. You will be providing and planning teaching material and opportunities aimed to engage and enthuse students to help them enjoy learning and prepare them for the wider world.
Responsibilities

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Patience and resilience in supporting children
* Experience working with SEN children
* Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Passion for supporting students and championing their wellbeing.
