Main Duties of the Job
As Integration Assurance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of the Future NHS Workforce Solution (FWS), working closely with suppliers, architects, and user organisations.
* Assure the supplier’s integration strategy and implementation, focusing on cloud‑based platforms such as Oracle HCM and Microsoft Azure.
* Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulations.
* Lead assurance activities across migration events and transformation phases, collaborating with stakeholders across NHSBSA, DHSC, NHS England, NHS Wales, and external partners.
* Assure supplier designs, including integration touchpoints between Oracle HCM modules and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment.
* Assure approach to Microsoft Azure’s data and analytics capabilities.
* Assure ServiceNow workflows and service integrations are configured to support operational efficiency and user experience.
* Matrix‑manage and develop a team of Senior Technical Analysts.
* Support governance, planning, and readiness assessments.
* Contribute to programme boards and decision‑making processes.

Job Description
As a member of the FWS Transformation Programme, you will report to the Solution Assurance Integration Management Lead and be part of the Solution Assurance team, one of four key assurance functions in the Operating Model. The purpose of the Solution Assurance function is to work closely with the Supplier and User Organisations (UOs) in the migration from ESR to FWS.
In this role you will be responsible for assuring the supplier’s integration strategy, implementation, and ongoing transformation of interfaces, working with Authority and supplier architects to assure that integrated systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing input into, and assurance of, the Supplier’s overall integration strategy.
* Assuring the supplier’s overall approach to ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulation and standards.
* Leading key assurance functions to ensure the future workforce solution delivers identified benefits and taxpayer value.
* Assuring strategies for individual migration events, or waves, from the start to conclusion of each event.
* Working with the Supplier, User Organisations and third parties to ensure readiness assessment criteria and outcomes for migration events.
* Preparing material for, and contributing to, programme boards and governance boards.
* Evaluating readiness and success criteria against outcomes for each migration event.
* Collaborating with the chosen Supplier, multiple stakeholders, including Programme teams and NHSBSA Corporate and Enabling Services.
* Line managing colleagues within multi‑disciplinary teams.

Personal Qualities, Knowledge and Skills – Essential

* A strong understanding and knowledge of operating models, and the ability to interpret highly complex or ambiguous information.
* Knowledge of implementing or working under the ITILv4 framework, including detailed knowledge of service management principles, aims, and their application.
