Head of community and events
Salary £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Contracted to our Peterborough office with hybrid work flexibility.
Location
Peterborough office in the city centre, with excellent transport links and a green network for cyclists.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of our portfolio of challenge events, mass participation products and community fundraising activities. Work closely with colleagues to grow income, drive innovation and deliver integrated, personalised stewardship experiences.
* Develop and implement community and events fundraising programmes and business plans.
* Recruit, engage, inspire and retain supporters.
* Lead and manage a team of fundraisers to deliver high‑quality results by deadlines.
* Build relationships with networks and individuals to raise awareness and participation.
* Contribute to strategy development and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in developing community and events fundraising programmes.
* Proven track record of success in leading and managing fundraising teams.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
* Ability to work flexibly and attend events/meetings as needed.

* Flexible working hours with start and finish times around core hours of 9.30 – 4.30.
* Annual leave: starting with 25 days plus paid bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with tenure.
