County Fleet Maintenance, part of Warwickshire County Council, is looking for a qualified Light Goods Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Warwick. This full‑time permanent role requires 37 hours per week.
About The Role
Perform general maintenance and servicing on a range of vehicle makes and models, primarily for Warwickshire Police fleet vehicles. Responsibilities include engine, transmission and chassis repairs, diagnostic work, electrical work and MOT preparation. A Class 4, 5, and 7 MOT tester qualification is desirable.
Key Requirements
* Level 3 NVQ in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent qualification
* A good understanding of vehicle diagnosis
* Knowledge of vehicle compliance requirements
* Good communication skills to liaise with supervisors, other technicians, customers and suppliers
Additional Information
The Fluency Duty requires accurate spoken English to the public. An NPPV check is required for appointment due to frequent and uncontrolled access to government assets.
