Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join our supportive team at a children's home based in Loughborough. You will play an integral role in the lives of young people who require care and support, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development within a nurturing environment.
As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care for children and young people, supporting them with their emotional, social, and practical needs. You will be an advocate for their growth, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to thrive in a positive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people within the home.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with the children, offering emotional support and guidance.
* Work closely with other professionals and contribute to care plans and risk assessments.
* Facilitate recreational activities, learning opportunities, and life skills development.
* Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and proactive manner, ensuring the children feel secure and supported.
* Ensure all documentation and records are completed accurately and on time.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in residential childcare or a similar role is essential.
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
* A flexible approach to work and willingness to take on shift patterns, including weekends and evenings.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
