Job Title: QA Tester (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Hybrid (occasional travel within the UK required)
About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated QA Tester to join our collaborative technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who's passionate about ensuring software quality, enjoys working within agile environments, and wants to contribute to the delivery of reliable, user-focused systems.
As part of a small, supportive team, you'll play a key role in testing both new and existing functionality, identifying and reporting issues, and helping shape testing strategies. The role will include a mix of manual and automated testing across various systems, including Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
Review functional and business requirement specifications
Identify testing requirements and create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
Participate in agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, three amigos sessions)
Investigate, reproduce, and document complex bugs in collaboration with the Support Team
Test bug fixes and confirm resolutions before deployment
Develop and maintain automation test scripts
Manage issue tracking for bugs and communicate progress to stakeholders
Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
Support configuration and setup of Salesforce test environments (permission sets, page layouts, validation rules, flows)
Contribute to other testing projects as needed and manage workload to meet agreed deadlines
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
Track Record as a QA Tester
Experience testing on the Salesforce platform, including environment setup and configuration
Strong understanding of agile development practices
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Experience using tools such as JIRA for product management and tracking
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
Salesforce Certified Administrator
ISTQB or CTSE certification
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Katalon, Provar)
Understanding or experience within the homelessness or supported housing sector
General Requirements
Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK
Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing organisational needs
