We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Senior Production Manager to join the team supporting the APAC Portfolio of the Energy Council and the continued growth of the brand. The role sits within a specialist energy networking platform focused on delivering high-level, content-led initiatives that connect decision-makers across the full energy value chain.
The successful candidate will help produce a series of market-leading conferences and private meetings, with a particular focus on building our presence across the APAC region. This includes shaping new engagements and contributing to the continued success and growth of our flagship Singapore Assembly.
We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with senior stakeholders, and is confident curating content agendas that reflect market priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting in depth research calls and facilitating in-person meetings to identify key themes and topics that should be covered at the Assembly
* Writing a market-leading, commercial agenda
* Building ADI, speaker and SPEX TM lists throughout the campaign
* Recruiting high level speakers and bringing new faces compared to previous years
* Identifying opportunities to launch and curate networking events and smaller Assemblies in new high growth regions
* Joining calls with the SPEX team to promote selling in tandem
* 3x digital content pieces to be created and released throughout the event campaign such as speaker interviews, podcasts, whitepapers, press releases or updates from sponsors
* Travelling in and around region several times a year (minimum 8 weeks annually) to run events and conduct meetings with industry leaders
* Managing the event budget alongside operations to ensure costs and targets are being met
* Working with/part-managing at least one salesperson and one marketing executive
* Writing key marketing copy using unique knowledge of the industry and audience
* Running preparatory calls for Assembly panels leading up to the event. Having overall strategic input on major event decisions, strategic direction, commercial model, marketing plan and more
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
* Experience of looking beyond the traditional conference industry revenue model and open to embracing and creating new ideas around a commercial model
* Experience in commodities and finance markets is a bonus and work experience in Asia would be advantageous
* A proven track record in confex, or the energy, finance & investment sectors
* Strong project management skills
* Confident and can build rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives
* Excellent organisational skills and able to multitask, working on multiple events at the same time
* Experience of working with systems, including but not limited to Salesforce, and Pardot
* Interest in energy, commodities, finance and investment spaces
* High level of public speaking skills - confident moderating, chairing and MCing events
* Flexibility in working hours to accommodate APAC time differences with a Monday to Thursday GMT/BST 06:00 start
* Ability to travel for extended periods of time to Asia for 2 to 3 weeks at a time, averaging 3 to 4 times a year, building relationships and running in-person events
