The purpose of the role is to maintain financial integrity, support the operational team, and ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll. Duties to include but not limited to:
* Managing and processing several monthly payrolls across multiple entities
* Managing a small team
* Ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory deductions
* Dealing with payroll queries
* Overseeing staff expense claims
* Supporting short-term cash flow forecasting and payroll-related accounting
* Collaborating with HR, site managers, and external auditors
* Other ad hoc duties as required
The person:
* Previous payroll experience within a medium to large business is essential
* Strong communication skills are essential
* You will be able to demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a calm approach under pressure
* You will have a drive to improve systems and processes
